About this training

We use interactive learning activities including preparedness line-up (values clarification) questions, facilitated discussions, and role play; and we do some lecture and specific skills-trainings.

Preparedness line-up:
The facilitator describes a situation to the group and asks how prepared they feel they already are. The group spreads out physically between a sign on one wall staing "strongly agree" and one on the other wall stating "strongly disagree." The facilitator asks someone from each end and someone from the middle why they are standing where they are.
Facilitated discussion:
The group is led in discussion or brainstorm about the question(s) at hand. Facilitator keeps it focused. Note-taker writes notes or ideas up on cardboard. Timekeeper makes sure the group knows how much time they have. All trainers make sure important points are addressed.
