So your affinity group gets back together for a party. Y'all decided to serve no alcohol at the party even though some of y'all have enjoyed a drink since you got out of jail. Instead you're going to hang out, eat really nutritious food, drink some wonderful aftercare tea, and watch a movie. Y'all decided to have the party at activist 1's house in Brooklyn -- it was her idea -- because she's been isolating since she got out and didn't want to ride the subway by herself.

At the party it's the first time y'all really all checked in since before you went to jail, and you just start trading stories. Turns out the n17 action made a big and positive impact all over the world. Oakland had a 2-day general strike, in Atlanta all the off-duty cops in the police union marched with the protest beacuse protesters had saved a cop's house from foreclosure the week before, Chicago finally got a park to stay in, and in Louisville 600 people were arrested and the judge threw out all the charges and yelled at the police chief.

In New York, Legal has started a class-action lawsuit for people who were held on the bus for too long, and all of y'all are eligible. The doctor says the corneal abrasions on activist 2's eyes are going to be ok without surgery but that she should wear glasses not contact lenses if she goes protesting again. Activist 4 has a nasty bronchitis that just won't go away and is hoarse from coughing. All over the city there's really positive buzz. People really got it. Some old lady on the subway recognized activist 4 from the news and shook her hand and said "Thank you for fighting for me and my children." It's hard to tell what's going to come of this movement, but it's looking good.

  • Thank you for coming to this training. Before you go home, lets go round and each person briefly share a low point and a high point of this training.
